One time Valley resident, Brad Stieger died in hospice in Mason
City, Iowa, May 6, 2018, at the age of 82. He was born as Eugene
E. Olson on February 19, 1936, at the Fort Dodge (Iowa) Lutheran
Hospital during a blizzard. In his long career he penned over
2000 articles on paranormal subjects and authored or co-authored
over 175 books, both fiction and non-fiction, which have sold 17
million copies. For a number of years Steiger lived in
Scottsdale with his second wife Francene. With his columns, many
books and articles and appearances on paranormal radio shows and
podcasts, Steiger attracted countless fans, widespread
admiration and, of course, some criticism. That comes with the
territory when the territory includes Atlantis, giant humans,
ancient aliens and numerous other controversial paranormal
topics he wrote and talked about. He leaves behind his third
wife, Sherry Hansen Steiger, two sons, three daughters, and ten
grandchildren. |
